Ryo Utsunomiya
Ryo Utsunomiya is a Japanese visual artist born in 1988 in Hyogo, Japan. His practice centers on wildlife photography and expands into spatial works incorporating sound and light.
His work has been featured in National Geographic and BBC Wildlife Magazine.
He was selected for the final round of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, organized by the Natural History Museum, London.
He serves as a 500px Ambassador and Editors’ Choice Curator, and as Head Curator of 1x.com, as well as a juror for international photography awards.
In 2024, he received Photographer of the Year at the MUSE Photography Awards.
His works are included in the collection of the Asago Art Village Museum, Japan.
